Hi guys,
Ive just bought a pair of 12 ounce gloves for my heavy bag workout and am now looking to follow the advice about using hand wraps to protect my hands, could anyone steer me in the right direction please as regards which ones to buy and also is there a "best" way to wrap the hands because I have seen various methods used and so am now a little confused as to which I shoud use ? I,m in the UK so if anyone knows of a good site to get the correct wraps please shout up.

Thanks very much for your time...

Dave

I don't think there's much in it between brands.
Some have "this side down" printed on them so you know how to start but otherwise...

See link below for advice on different wrapping techniques.

Picked some Lonsdale ones up in town the other day for £2.80. (Soccer Sports, if you've got one near you?)

Yea the Sports Soccer Lonsdales wraps are just fine, I have picked them up for about a £1 before! Go for a darker colour to hide the dirt, sweat, and blood that will be on them soon .

Best advice this year. My wraps are solid white and they're stained with all type of stuff. Blood, dirt, sweat. An ugly sight. Should've picked black or something.

Here's what to do with them:

http://innovativema.ca/forum/view.php?pg=wraphands

You got basically 3 types, the short ones most sports dept's carry, usually everlast. Don't buy those, they are too short.

And then 2 useful types, one is a standard cotton wrap, the other is "mexican style" , these have a little bit of stretch to them.

Which of those 2 you go with is up too you, and a matter of preference. Personally I prefer the Mexican style wraps.
