Kangaroos. You know, those athletic shoes that had a little zippered pocket on the side. If you were lucky the quarter that that your mom gave you for the payphone( ) would fit in there!

Wow! The memories!

LOL I had a pair of pink Roos! I was able to put a quarter in one shoe and a dime in the other shoe for my lunch money.

Also, Hannah/Barbarra Cartoons. They just don't make them like that anymore!

Buck Rogers or Dukes of Hazzard lunch boxes. And they were made of metal!

I never had a metal lunch box. I had the plastic one with the thermos inside. It was orange and it had Hanna Barbara's Blue Falcon and Dynomutt on it.

The metal lunch boxes made a great weapon for bullies..

Spinning every record as fast as I could to make it sound like ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS.

the man from atlantis, shizam! Isis, BJ and the bear, BATMAN, Emergency.

enough of that ...

GO OUTSIDE AND FIND SOMETHING TO DO.(heard that one 1000+ times)

Big wheels.... when they broke we'd take the back wheels off , some plywood and 2 wagon wheels made a nice go cart.

rock'em sock'em robots..shogun warriors....stretch armstrong...light bright...

toughskins jeans, jordash

Making pull tab guns.(when the BB gun got taken away for shooting something(someone?) I wasnt supposed to.
Mr frosty(the ice cream truck)

How about spinning them backwards to see if they had any hidden messages. Queen had a few that did like "Another Bites the Dust" had "It is fun to smoke marijuana" and another that said "try suicide" but can't remember which song.

I remember all of these ... frickin' awesome.

Big Wheels ... loved that thing. My brother had it and we trashed that thing. The wheels were always so worn out as we would set up pylons and stuff and try to break each other's track time. I'd always beat him as he was 4 years younger then I was.

All good memories. Usually when I think of my childhood it is always bad but stuff like this just reminds me of the gems. Thanks all.

There is a song "1970-something"

Parachute pants (at the roller rink of course)

My first big crush was Olivia Newton John in Xanadu. I was actually bummed when it was over Then she cut her hair :O

Olivia Newton-John was definitely a good looking women during that time period, not that she isn't today. Of course I remember her more from Grease where she went from the cute and innocent looking school girl to the raunchy slut looking babe. A movie that told girls to change for their man ... awesome.
