Neat clips thanks for sharing. I found both to be interesting and slightly similar to a couple of things that we have in the Yizong Bagua system.
We have a warm up involving circling the leg in an outward motion that appears similar to what Sam is doing. The tricky part of our leg circle warm up is that you are trying to do it without engaging the hip flexor muscle and maximize the use of the kua. Definitely easier said than done.
As for the circle walking exercise, that is pretty neat. We have something that looks quite similar, however, the exercise is not done on the circle. The feet definitely have a cross back stepping sequence, but it is not done in a manner that makes a circle. I guess you could say it is somewhat more linear but the hands have a very similar quality to them.
