I haven't watched K-1 much but I've seen alot of K-1 highlights on youtube and I was wondering about this guy Puramuk, he looks like an animal! I tried looking at google for info on him but he doesn't have his own website. All I could find was that apparently he won the K-1 world max tournament finals for 2004 making him the youngest champion in the history of K-1 then he lost by split decision in K-1 world max 2005 .But then he won the 2006 world max be coming the only man to win it twice. According to wikipedia he started fighting at 8 years old and since has had 407 fights! With all this fighting I wonder how he finds time to go to the bathroom! Now, that being said, I've never heard anyone talk about him in the gym. I tried a search on FA for him too but came up dry. So I just thought he deserves his own thread at least and everyone can put in their 2 cents worth about what they think of him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBExHg5A-Bwhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=einZ010-cb0http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_oGBSK8LhMhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buakaw_Por.Pramuk

Probably one of the best Thai fighters in MT and K-1 I have seen on the net. I believe he won K-1 2006 as well but dont hold me too it. He has skills.

oh yeah he is a force of nature. He is/was ranked top 3 in the Lumpini stadium. Taison will know a lot more about that than me, but my limited knowledge is that to get a rep in that environment you have to be as good as it gets.

heh, yeah the guy is awesome. I believe he deserved to win the 2005 World Max event as well. Sadly the K-1 judges have a bit of a history of not being too happy with Thai fighters dominating their events . What I find most impressive about him is the way he seems to be in a class entirely of his own. He makes otherwise great fighters seem utterly incompetent.

If you rank the top 15 in Lumphini, than you're no longer human. Well, you're human, just not "human" like the rest of us. Buakaw is a fighting machine. And now he has a wide range of arsenal at his disposal with improved boxing skill. -Taison out

He is definately good at what he does. The only fault i saw was at times he was hesitant to drop his foot. I wondered also, why none of his opponents chose to try and fight him in the clinch.

K1 does not allow clinching in its rules. You do see guys get away with it for 1 or 2 strikes at most, but it is against the rules. If it were in the rules, then clinching against a reknowned thai boxer would just be working to his strengths

Very impressive. That first video was like a tutorial on how to use the push kick.

I have read up on him before he is a beast. Very well rounded and trains extremely hard. 357 wins that's just nuts.

This guy looks incredible!.....I spent a evening at Lumpini stadium 9 years ago and it left me feeling very humble indeed, I've no idea if I was watching the elite of Thai boxers but they certainly looked darn good to a lay person--the tuk tuk driver who took me there was going nuts watching certain fights, i dare say he had money on fighters ......I keep dithering of late about getting myself down the local club ....

Let's just say, if you've been inside the ring, if you're not really good, you don't want to be in there again. Ever.
These boxers are as good as they get, and Buakaw is like a jewel among ores. Non has gone so far as he has done. He truly is on-top of his game. Being good in Thailand is one thing, being able to leave the country is truly an amazing achievement for a boxer-from-poverty.

I've seen alot of his fights. He's enough to destroy scrubs in UFC, Pride, and currently, K-1.

Eh?
I'm going to be honest. I have no idea what you're talking about Darugon C Hokaido. Not the slightest. Who do I hate? Who do I keep insulting?

I never insulted him unless I have a total memory lapse. I said I liked him and he truly is amazing. I don't remember ever saying I hate him or insulted. Whatever you're smoking, quit it. -Taison out
