Watch what you eat, strength train and stay in shape. Don't rely on physical attributes (speed, power, etc) during martial arts training.

40 ain't old, only if you think you are old and then you will be old.

My Grandmother is 86 and lives on her own in her house. She walks to get grociers, she visits the old folks home to cheer them up, she house cleans, goes to the legion, does meat draws ... she still lives her life. There are people younger then her who felt they were old and so it turned out they were ... even though they are younger then her.

"Believe" that it is just a number and means nothing and move on with your life and live it. We never know what tomorrow will bring so live everyday to its fullest like you are young because you are. Dirt is old ... 40 isn't. Now somebody send me this in 2 years please.

Hmm.. I got 20 years to catch up.

40 isn't that old. My grandpa can still beat me in arm wrestling, well, he cheats using chi a lot, but oh well, and he still kicks my ass in Tai-chi. (well, 1 battle can last a day with his tempo).

40 isn't much, it's just 40. Most of my ancestors lived to 80+ except those that got blown to bits during Vietnam (sad part in my family history) and most of them are still alive and counting their money (Greedy [censored]).

Happy birthday, and don't worry about the age. Just worry about your health. Eat well and age slowly ^_^
