Back at it again, this time I focused on more traditional forms (at least many of them are).

The first one is something very special. I have almost complete documentation on each movement and application (from a very old defunct kung fu magazine).

It also makes a case where Chinese forms really are... outstanding!

the "chang" taiji clip is just yang style. in fact it's nearly identical to yang jwing mings yang style.

GM Chang is also the teacher of John Wang of texas who can be found at www.johnswang.com

And if you really want to get detailed instruction, check out the vcd's sold at http://www.plumpub.com/sales/vcd2/coll_shaolin1.htm
The prices are amazingly cheap, and worth it if your interest is more than just looking.

I have to be misunderstanding you Victor. I know you wouldn't recommend instruction from video, right?

Hi Fish, There can be instruction from a good videoo as the instructor presents their material, that doesn't imply you can learn the form from the vide. It's what you call instruction. That video I was referring to contains a ton of valuable information and it's presntation is instruction.

Continuing to provide the best finds I can you should be impressed with these.

Chuo Jiao, the style of the Penetrating Foot, is an ancient style with roots in Wen Family Boxing. This was mentioned in General Qi Jiguang's book as one of the most effective systems of his times. The most popular Chuojiao is the branch merged with fanzi (Chuojiao Fanzi) coming from Li Country in Hebei. However, in recent months an old branch of the system (according to its practitioners) came into light. It is called Gu Zhizi (Ancient Zhizi- Ancient Chuojiao) and was passed to the Yin family in Suning County which kept it for centuries. The style shares theory very similar to Xinyi/Xingyi. Li Fuzhen, famous disciple of Che Yizhai, was so impressed by the system that he incorporated its elements into Che Style Xingyiquan and created Mandarin Ducks Kicks routine. This is apparently the first video material about this rare branch ever made public.
(thank you Jarek Szymanski for the description)
