I love setting short term goals for my training. Let's leave this topic open to short term goals for fitness not martial skill that can be another topic all together. I have made short term goals in the past and completed them.

The first was doing 10 pullups that was about 5 years ago. Pull ups are my favorite exercise now and I can do 5 sets of 10 no problem.

Dumb bell bench 70 lbs. with each arm did that last year 5 good reps.

One arm chin up was next last winter I did one with each arm.

My new goals are to be able to Squat 170 lbs. and do 2 glute-ham raises by the New Year. I think this will be my hardest goal yet but I think I can do it. The 170 isn't going to be as hard as the glute-ham raises they are the hardest exercise I have ever tried.

These are just a few of mine I have many more that aren't as impressive. Now I would like to hear some of yours. What are your newest goals? What was the hardest one you completed? Have you failed? Do tell! I would love to hear how everyone sets these goals and what they do to reach them.

Mine is to be able to do 100 pushups in 1 hit. I try to do this by doing as many as i can every night, then every 3 or 4 nights add 5 to that number. I went from 10, to 20, to 30, to 40, im at 47 right now.

Mind bullets would be awesome I am a fan of the D as well. Benching your own weight is a tough feet and took me a long time to over come that one.

theres a lot of factors, 170 pounds isnt easy for a tall lanky dude like me. Shorter people will generally have an easier time with this type of thing

Mine's simple. I just want to get rid of the "mommy pooch" from having two kids. I don't have too much to lose. I know it'll just take time and a lot of patience.
