At it's peak my training went about 3 days a week for 2 hrs. Which usually occured in the evening hours, can't do early morning breath training due to required formation running or calisthenics. Currently I have not trained at all in about three months! That's ok, because I get my Combatives level 2 in October. The deadly art of Husband-do Father-gung is more than satisfying....tho not street effective haha.

Hey, I was only counting karate/kobudo when I answered. If you add up hours at the gym, my 6 hours a week doubles. At my age, keeping in shape will benefit me more than doing Seisan kata for the 102,941st time.

I'm doing 3-4 2 hour classes a week, plus 2 weight sessions and a few hours of personal practice. I have a jolly good rest on a saturday.

I train about 2 to 6 hours a day 6 days a week. On Mondays and Wednesdays I train shito ryu karate for a minimum of 2 hours. On Tuesdays Thursdays I train shaolin kempo I train from 4 to 9 ( some of that time I am teaching so I don’t know if that counts) on Friday I train in shito ryu with fumio damura at his school and on Saturdays I go to sparing class for 3 hours. I still find time to go to college and work a part time job and practice gymnastics as often as I can. Busy life

I believe you Saber - i know someone just like you

I have 2 training sessions a week, one goes for 2-2.5 hours and the other 2.5-3 hours. I do at least 2 hours extra at home a week.

Teach twice per week, an hour each class. Train 3 times per weak about 90 minutes (I also train a "little" bit when teaching). I try to run at least 2-3 miles per day when time allows and I also try to get in about 20 minutes of wind sprints per week. I also throw in 15 push ups at every commercial break between 9 and 11 PM. All that and I still can't get rid of that little spare tire !

On a weekly basis I spend about this much time on karate:

KEMPO
- as a student: 3 to 6 hours
- as an assisting sensei (depending on need): 3 to 8 hours
- practicing (drills & kata): 4 to 6 hours

KOBUDO (Go Ju Ryu)
- as a student: 3 hours
- practicing (drills, kata, self-defense) - 3 to 5 hours

RUNNING (5K or 10K runs)
- 4 to 6 hours

SIT-UPS/CRUNCHES/PUSH-UPS/FREE WEIGHTS
- 2 hours (only when I'm motived...)

READING/RESEARCHING MA MATERIAL (Hey! I count this as passive training )
- 8 to 12 hours

THINKING/OBSESSING ABOUT KARATE
- Constantly

GETTING A LIFE (Outside of Karate)
- Is there one????
