I was joking .. jeeze. Anyway I can clearly see that as being an accident, im sure he was just jumpy, probably thought it was the other blokes mate or something. What reason does he have to hit the girl anyway? I just dont think that was on purpose.

And I swear if whatever woman was making those screaming noises did it again I wouldve layed into her myself

It looked accidental. The fact that the woman was walking into the hand made it seemed worse than it actually was.

I think it is a police video on a stakeout. It has a pretty powerful microphone. It looked like it was taken from a tall tree, as the camera man took a bit of time to pan the camera towards the right when the group walked into the trees on the right.

The "boxer" definitely over-reacted. What if one of the guys pulled out a knife and went for the girl? Was it worth it?

The girl, typical of many girls in that situation, thought that by shouting at her boyfriend, he will stop and everything will turn up roses. She might be doing him and herself more harm by distracting his concentration. She should quickly get some distance from the two guys, instead of actually walking into the 'sphere of danger' giving him an unneccessary burden to take care of. She should already have known her boyfriend has some fight training.

We never know what happened in the trees. The two guys by following means they were not going to take it laying down, and if the boxer and the girl got beaten real bad, it would have been the girl's fault, because if she had not done all those shouting and made the boxer hesitant, the two guys would have been knocked out, and not now really fired up for revenge. Never allow an injured wolf to come after you.

As for the boxer, I think he was just itching for a fight and cannot wait to test his newly learned skills. He doesn't look all that seasoned to me. The two untrained guys made him looked good.

We'll never know how it ended.

It wasnt the girl shouting though..she was just watching. I doubt it was a ploice camera too. IMO these two guys got in an argument and someone decided to whip out the camera, and there you go. Ill bet my wages that was just an adreniline accident when he hit her, and of course the doofus boxer overreacted and knocked their block off.

A$$holes hurt girl, either on purpose or through stupid carelessness. Boyfriend/husband kicks their a$$, and does it well. I see no problem with this.

Maybe if these guys experienced this reaction every time they acted stupidly/aggressively on street corners, they would decide to behave better in general.

If someone forearm smashed my wife in the face I wouldnt have the control to walk away like he did, and i am not repentant about that in the slightest.

I think I am voting that this video was staged. Something just doesn't add up here.

Oh...I think the first part was staged. Hooligans. But not the second part. What girl is going to voluntarily walk into a smack?

I think it was a normal reaction by the female. A slap that didn't hurt too much....the normal reaction IS 'let's not fight'. But frankly, if it had been me getting slapped...it would have been ugly; It would have been a case of 'ooh, you messed with the wrong gal.'

I'm thinking if I staged it, I would have somehow managed to keep my pants on.

It looked to me like the contact was hard and genuine.

I understand what you mean Matt, it does seem strange that a camera would be present in such a good vantage point at exactly the right time. i think there are two possibilities.
1. it was a set up for a 'jackass' fight between the two guys, that then went horribly wrong for them when the third party got involved and ruined the 'script'

2. As was mentioned re possibility of police surveilance, these two could have been dealers under observation on their 'patch' and the surveilance team got a free show

I dont think the 'boxer' was in any way faking or staging his response, he wanted to give those guys a beating. I couldn't lay into friends like that, nor have i ever had friends that would let me even if i did.

no! it wasnt staged lol. grrr. Its obvious that these two were fighting, and this person was filming them hoping for a biff. Which they got , i still think that was unintentional btw.

Here's my evidence that the guy hit her intentionally:

Firstly, before he hits her, he looks back. This indicates that he knew someone was coming along. Prior to this, you will see that the other guy looks their way, probably telling him that the couple are coming.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b162/Leo_E_49/Boxer.jpg

Secondly this image indicates that he's not just gesturing, but rather the movement was intentionally aimed at hitting someone in the face. He looks around before he gestures, meaning the gesture is not aimed at the other guy he's "talking to", but rather he checks to make sure he's going to hit someone instead of missing them. I believe the boxer makes eye contact with him, but I'm not 100% sure.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b162/Leo_E_49/Boxer2.jpg

I'm surprised that no one's catching these movements. They're only one frame long but they're there as clear as day.

Admittedly this is not enough to avoid such a situation, even if you've got good awareness, but paying attention to detail is important when looking at the situation.

Definitely premeditated and intentional.

Despicable.
