Andy Hug was great. He could punch and kick hard the best of both worlds.

Yep, Andy Hug was good. He was a very good karate-ka who left Kyokushin and joined Ishi's Seido group. This was after Ishi left Ashihara and then started promoting the K-1 Grad Prixs.

If anyone remembers his early fights, he did have problems with dealing with faces shots, but soon over came those deficts that stemmed from no-face contact Kyokushin bouts.

Good player!

He was incredible. I loved watching his fights. He was one of the most balanced fighters I have ever seen. Thick and well conditioned and highly flexible as well. He was the fighter I wanted to be.

Good stuff, Mark. I haven't seen any of his old Kyokushin stuff before.
