In a real fight. you would grab his ears on the way down, for eg.. That is what Trad fighting teaches you. Remember no rules. You have to survive, if you lose you might not be alive to post here again.

5 pages in and even *I* haven't gotten involved in this debate. This is because most people aren't interested in the truth but in simply arguing their biased views with little regard for rational thought. Of course, that is NEVER the case with *me*....
But I digress.
There's nothing new under the sun. "Modern" wrestling has been around for thousands upon thousands of years.
It's all in how you train, not "what" you train. And, some things are going to be more high percentage than are others for the most part.
And SURELY no one here is arguing against the MMA training vehicle, right?

Can you provide any documentation that shows ear tearing and eye gouging was widely advocated before 1993?
