I don't pay much attention to trolls I guess, and I haven't been around long enough to remember most of this stuff, but I had to take my chance to doodle...

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who intentionally posts controversial or contrary messages in an on-line community such as an on-line discussion forum with the intention of baiting users into an argumentative response.

I think that statement can apply to a lot of people who take part in internet coversations.

I dont think you are a fool as stated.I think you put forward some realy good points. But it would be easier if you and others answered questions after you and others have made statements. Particuler the negative types. .

Such as why do you think this guys kata performance is poor?
Which part is poor? what should he be doing etc etc.
Its realy easy to sit in a computer and make a negative statement with out being able or willing to back it up!

I for one havent noticed any trolls, i feel like i'm missing something, havent been here very long right enough, Is it the done thing to acuse somoeone of being a troll? (if you think thats what they are) or is that like calling someone a B@*%$&* or such?

Accusing someone of trolling every other post is a bad thing, but in the case of a few people like the aforementioned Razwell, their trolling behaviour is blatantly obvious. Give it a few posts, at least ten, and if those posts are obvious trolling, call it and report to a moderator.

What I find amusing about all this is that I know for sure that I've been posting on this site even before oldman. I suggested fa.com make a separate karate forum which they did. I have detailed kata such as Seisan (move-by-move), explained why most kata out there is faulty--- stances too long and wide, jodan uke at 90 degree, punches with horizontal fists, etc.. I give you the science because I know science not just what Shifu or Sensei or Sigung have taught me, but bonafied rationale based on modern science. Dumb arses!!! Just because I get angry at know nothings who try and claim that what they do (karate-do or don't) is as relevant as anything else out there, doesn't make me a troll. It's just the truth. Most of you martial artists are barely martial and an artist like MattJ is an awesome drawer. Sorry to not be nice about it. I give it straight up with no feces. Come correct.

I think oldman is passive aggressive, and knows that labeling me as a troll will rally others to his mislabeling. It's like calling someone a name in grade school that the entire school starts using just because you have popularity or power. It's cowardly, and was done at a time when I was banned for jack sh-t. I couldn't even defend myself at the time. I don't get on here to rile people up. I get on here to give you an educated and trained opinion. I don't do video proof or whatever, my words and reasons are concise enough. It'll be cold day in hell when I put a video on any of these inane and unsecure sites.

I use my real name and every karate guy who's been on here for years knows my real name and rank, my sensei, my background and so on. To label and lump me in the same category as the rest of the dolts you mentioned is unfair and an outright lie.

Do you expect me to NOT say "f--ck off" or "go to hell"? You're a gaddomn idiot if you believe that. If you get mad at what I say, from Ron Goninan to JKogas, it's because I'm making you question what it is you THOUGHT was reality. Ron G. with his B.S. White Crane and Jack Kogie with his presumptuous attitude and opinion that all karate (except the Oyama derivates) is worthless.

Get a friggin' clue geniuses. Be happy I ain't loose leaf like the majority of the teens and geeks on here. There is Mariana's Trench depth here, fools. Diversity and heated discourse is a good thing, you Japanese Samurai wanna-bes!!!

hey, I'm taking the 'Unyu defense' to that accusation.

don't blame me if I provoke people to critically think as oppossed to blindly praise without questioning. sure, egos on both sides of any argument might get banged up a bit - but thats the risk in sparring ain't it? or we could have a 'cooperative' forum where only the like-minded are invited with back-patting and popularity contests rule the day. The deepest posts I've seen on forums like that are threads titled such as: "What is your favorite belt color?"

but I know you are just sortof kidding, eyrie...just letting out a jab to offset your frustrations of arguments past. daijoubu desu.

Unyu, I'll thank you now. Some of your posts over the years, made me think, or pointed towards looking into something I hadn't considered...particularly history-wise. Not so much actual technique-wise other than helping articulate some things difficult to put into words, until seeing a reference you give of an term I wasn't aware of.

On the downside, (which never really bothered me personally - and actually provided a laugh at my expense sometimes but was worth the comedic value), is/was your insulting and condecending tone. Thats where you get the negative response you do from people. you could make a really good argument, and then blow it by insulting your opposition. The emotions stirred when you do that turns people off to your technical points. I try to separate the points from the random acts of hate, or try to look past wondering what medication led people to write what they do sometimes.

we all have quirks, afflictions and diagnosis that are probably hard to pronounce termed indicies in mental health case studies. So in a way, we are all trolls of varying degree. For an admin, it's like nurse Ratchet in 'One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest' trying to draw lines....and I think oldman does that well: draw lines.
