Well, the only advise I can give you to prove that it isnt 'sissy' is to simply get one and hit it a few hundred times a day.
Because I think you wont just take our word for it.

nope, lol. But I suppose in the interest of improving my abilities i shall buy one. Anyone know any shops that sell them? because I really hate having to make things.. ill have a look on ebay for now

Dont go nuts on the maki wari.Dont throw your punches full power. Take your time. Think mr storm dragon and others are doing fine on their maki waris? Perhaps if you discuss it? Just a suggestion

www.makiwarapost.com Im sure Jon can ship to Oz, it would be expensive. However he is always happy to advise on making your own or purchasing locally etc etc. Im also happy to discuss makiwara with anyone interested, its better if you are of 'adult' age though. Until then Heavy Bag is best.

Ive loaded my heavy bag with sandbags, but it still isnt as hard as id like, I just want a tool to turn my hands into lifeless pieces of cement, because I hate it when my wrist bends, or my knuckles injure. Which is basiclly why I made this topic. Oh yeah I had a look on ebay, im gonna buy one that hangs on your wall.
