I'm going to have to go with Chen on this one. Although I thought werewolves had regenerative powers as well, the vamp's intellect is a serious advantage. But I'm sensing a poll here......

Who is the supreme undead killer?

You guys are crazy Wherewolves are natural hunters that are the best physical specimens. Especially in the wild.

Werewolves aren't undead. Not sure about their regenerative abilities. often they are discovered when they gain a wound as a wolf and return to human form with the wound.

You could be right Matt. But I think the thing is that they already dead, so the release from slavery would return them to a naturally dead state (as I understand it).

The other comment about counting the salt, I'd heard that you put it in the coffin of a potential vamp cos they spend their time counting. might work topside of the grave too.

That said, I think you'd have to be heading onto the weird side if you had a wolfy foot fetish anyway.

Vamp are more dangerous in the long run because they often have an agenda and can control their victims. Also, they're a bit harder to spot in McDonald's than a two legged pit-bull with slavering jaws (no, not the manageress).

Yeah vamps vs. wherewolves is like the romans vs. the germanic tribes.

That is exactly what I think as I look at 17 pages of posts on Zombies and the like

You can't compare a single vampire or werewolf against a single zombie. There is no such thing as a single zombie. Where there is one zombie, there are more zombies. They find their strength in numbers. Comparing them one on one is useless because that never really happens.

I think that in the event of a zombie outbreak, the vampires would try to stop the zombies, because if mankind disappears, the vampires starve to death.

I suppose that the zombies wouldn't attack the vampires on sight, since they are undead and zombies don't eat dead meat (or else they would eat each other). But would they have to good sense to defend themselves if attacked?

Also, the vampires could probably pass off as zombies if they moan and limp around slowly; they have no vital signs to difference them from the zombies. This could be a vital advantage.

But are we talking about the badass old-school vampires like the original Dracula, who was old, had bad breath, could turn into a bat, and had to sleep in a coffin, or the pansy new ones like in Queen of the Damned (worse movie ever made)?

A sure thing is that the werewolves would get their asses handed to them by the zombies. They're not smart enough. They would just go rushing in a horde of zombies, get overwhelmed and torn apart.

The wherewolves from underworld would be death to the zombies.

The helicopter gun wielding giant zombie cyborg from Resident Evil 2 would be the death of the werewolves from Underworld.
