Kurdt, the military wouldn't do anything, environmentalists would say it's a natural occurence that we must not interphere with and stop the military from fighting the problem (much like the newest massive forest fire up here in Oregon!) or they would say the zombies are an endangered species and outlaw the killing of them.

Sounds like an Update on Omega Man with Charlton Heston (same source material? ).
