Soooo there is a tournament coming up in two months, and some people have been telling me thats its good to remain abstinent two months before the tournament, and that it'll help. Is this true and why? Also... does it absolutely have to be two months... this is probably gonna more difficult than the match itself.

Garbage. I doubt if Mike Tyson was abstinent for any length of time in his career, and he seemed to do fine.

Imposing a period of celebacy <sp.?> can be good, learning to control our impulses is truly discipline. But there is no need to engage in this type of thing. Finding someone to help us relax can be a wonderful thing.

Old wives tale, good for serious discipline but unnecessary unless you are entering a monestary. Might consider abstaining a few hours BEFORE the tournament but question the need beyond that level...

Dont abstain- you want your mind on the fight come the tournament. Turn up a little 'tense', a ring-card girl passes close enough to smell her perfume and 'wham' you will be on her leg like a randy dog!

This will lead to disqualification, prosecution, and a cleaning bill for her tights.

I saw on a sciene show that there was two teams playing soccer and the one who was losing at halftime went out and... you know with their wife/girlfriend and then they came back and dominated so it could help you to do it right before your match. One less thing youll have to worry about fighting
