Is anyone else a fan of this Sanshou star who now competes in MMA? Hes becoming my hero . Some of his throw/takedowns are so crazily amazing.

Some clips:

wow real impressive stuff. mad round houses and that spinning heal kick is vicous. hes looking good, a competent striker but i want to see some ground skills before i give any more praise. plus i think his opponent in the mma vid was intimidated a bit by thier previous encounter as he was a bit hesitant to get in and trade blows, thus letting cung le take the fight at his own pace. i want to see him face a competent grappler, maybe some roman greco or bjj before i give the final verdict. all in all, definatley an athlete to keep an eye on if his grappling skills are half as good as his striking.

Yeah, I'm really impressed with Cung-Le too!

I think that he brings a level of striking ability that very few in MMA have at the moment- you can see his opponents rocked by his kicks, even when they block. Added to this, he's not a one-dimensional fighter and has worked on his ground game. His throws are indeed truly spectacular, and in all of the sanshou matches I have seen him in, he seems to completely outclass his opponents.

Looking forward to more of the same in the future.
