Don't remember Kimo, you say? Me neither. But I did find this video. Well, he's certainly...... intense.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umg2jzdI2JA

Seems like a decent tutorial on the single leg takedown, if nothing else. ROOOOOOARRRRR!

Don't remember Kimo Leopoldo????? The last time I seen him fight was at UFC48 in June of 2004 against Ken Shamrock where Shamrock tapped him out with a knee bar in just over a minute. This was the Kimo vs. Shamrock "2" as they had fought each other at UFC8, which coincidently Ken beat him with a ... knee bar. I guess history does repeat itself.

He fought Tank Abbott at UFC43 back in 2003 and won. And if you remember back to 1994 he was in UFC3 against Royce Gracie where he lost in an arm lock submission to Royce. Don't think he had as many tats then.

And don't forget his most recent headline: Testing positive for a banned substance and getting pulled from the fight against Bas Rutten last weekend. He said in an interview it was a medication for his knee, and he stopped taking it once he signed up for the fight.

Dereck, Ken actually beat Kimo with a knee to the head at UFC 48 (TKO). And the shocker of them all, he beat Tank with triangle choke.

Good call on his Royce fight. He lost, but Royce was unable to continue (in the next fight), so it was his biggest accomplishment by far.

Actually Kimo's first loss to Shamrock was at 4:24 of the first round and came and the end of Shamrock really getting the worst of it. Hardly a shutout.

Kimo drew with Dan Severn back when Dan was still a force tobe reckoned with.

Kimo was dominating Kosaka until he gassed but held on for a decision.

He destroyed Tank in about the same time Frank Mir did.

Thanks to all for the updates. Seen so many fights and then trying to remember who did what and when. I do remember UFC48 and the knee to knock Kimo down but Ken went to the ground and did tap him out with a knee lock submission ... or that is how I remember it.

Both of these sites have it recorded as a kneebar.

FC Fighter Results On Ken Shamrock

Sherdog Results On Ken Shamrock

I would have also shown you from Ken's own website but the link is not active anymore for his stats.

I stand correctly (earlier as noted) on the second win, he won this by KO with his knee ... though I thought he also tangled him up with an leg lock but perhaps they only record up to when the refreee ends the fight and this was after it ended and he did this by instinct.

Here's the video of their first fight and the commentators say it is an ankle lock but Ken corrects them at the end to say it was a knee bar (7:54) ... check it out.

Kimo also had Bob Sapp beat in K-1 if it weren't for the shady officiating.
