Ouch, broken toes... I know how you feel, I always seem to get the little, p*ssy but debilitating injuries... at least you can get some sympathy with a broken arm! While you're trying to get it healed, try walking on your heel and avoiding using the ball of your foot. A bit weird, but it should take off some pressure. you can also try adding extra socks, or rolling them up around the end of your foot, that might help secure everything. These injuries are a right pain in the a$$, good luck with it Joel

Ok so apparently this thread will temporarily be my Convalescence Log. I did a bit of brainstorming today thinking of exercises I can do while my foot is healing. Pretty much nothing standing up and nothing flexing my toes. So this is what I came up with. Seated shoulder press (on a chair) Crunches Pushups (if I only have my left foot on the ground) and that's about as far as I got. More a brain drizzle than a storm, but you know... Any other ideas? Keep in mind my available equipment at the beginning of the thread.

Wow, it's been a long time, I almost had to go to the second page to get to this thread. Such a shame.
Well I'm mostly moved into my new house and my foot is feeling great. Today I also added more sand to my wave master so that it's at 280lbs now. Kicked and punched it around for about 20 minutes and felt pretty good. Hopefully get back to the weights tomorrow or thursday.
I'm going back to Columbus Friday and Saturday to see one of my old classmates fight in his first MMA match, I'm very excited.
Then next week I'm hoping to pick back up where I left off with working out regularly. I've got plenty of room when the cars are out of the garage and a good sized yard to do other things in as well. Maybe adding some farmer's walks and sprints in there somewhere. We'll see...

First real workout in over a month...woof. Got back into the weights, but kept them lower than my last workout because it's been so long.
Dynamic stretches warmup Overhead Squat 4x5, 90lbs Deadlift 4x5, 125lbs Overhead Press 4x5, 70lbs 31 minutes total
Felt good afterwards, very tired, but good.

Thanks, Dereck, glad to be back at it. Friday, October 20Dynamic stretches warmup Overhead Squat 4x5, 90lbs Deadlift 4x5, 120lbs Overhead Press 4x5, 75lbs 500 jumps on jumpe rope-4 mintues 33:15 minutes total Added in the jumpropes at the end because I was feeling good. Went up on the overhead press, but down on the deadlift. Going down was not on purpose, I thought I did 120 last time. Did this workout barefoot in my garage whereas last time was in my garage with shoes on. I think that aspect of the workout will depend on how warm/cold it is on each particular day. Yet more proof that when it's my day off or when I don't have to worry about work after my workout I have an excellent session. Consensus...I need to quit my job and just work out.

Good stuff Joel. I on the other had seem to find I work out harder on days that I do work. Like now I've been on holidays for 2 weeks and it is hard to get myself to work out. I think with working I have a schedule and this fits well with my working out where as when on holidays I have no set schedule thus making it difficult to know when to work out.
