Workout B today

150 skips on the jump rope as fast as possible
10 pushups on medicine ball
10 trunk rotations with medicine ball at waist level-
10 lunges each leg- medicine ball held above head
10 V-ups with medicine ball held above head
10 Groiners/Mountain Climbers(2 each side=1)

3 sets
16:16
------------------------------------------------------------
First time I've done this in 2 weeks, took a little longer than last time between breaks, but I'm ok with that. Maybe if I do this on one of my days off I'll be able to add the fourth set it. I know it'll take longer than the other sets, but I kind of just want to see how it goes. Just have to wait and see...

Workout A
Dynamic stretches warmup
Overhead Squat 4x5, 95lbs
Deadlift 4x5, 125lbs

Skipped out on the Overhead press, had a lot on my mind and a lot to do. A little upset that I didn't finish, but I wasn't feeling it very well. Next time...

10 trunk rotations with medicine ball at waist level-
10 lunges each leg- medicine ball held above head
10 V-ups with medicine ball held above head

4 sets thanks to Kazama's "Breaking Barriers Day"
21:29 total
superset times were
4:05
4:08
4:57---15:10 total time on par with previous attempts at 3 sets
5:19

Actually felt a little lightheaded afterwards for about 10-15 minutes. Somewhat nauseous as well. Could have been the proximity to my meal or not hydrating properly beforehand, I'm not sure. I think that next time I shall go ahead with the 4 sets, but just be careful.
But it was an obstacle that I overcame and am very proud of that.

Later that day I moved 1200+ lbs of 30 and 35lb dog food bags from a pallet to shelving by myself. Little bit of squats, trunk rotations, and presses involved. Messed up once to had to move some of them more than once. Took about 20-30 minutes.

Out of the house for most of the day, but did a 20 minute yoga video for cool down at night. It's called PM Yoga and I've actually fallen asleep doing this before.

Nice and relaxing, except for all of those stretches.

Just some bagwork on my wavemaster. Squeezed in 20 minutes in my dining room (I wish I had a bigger room to do it in, or a garage). Mostly a mash of kick repetitions and rounds on handwork. Really hard to get a good rhythm in when I have to stop and move the bag back to the center of the room every 30 seconds.

Nice job on those deadlifts, Joel. Kudos for your "barrier breaker" workout.

Woke up and did the AM Yoga corresponding to the PM Yoga from Saturday. It's nice to start the day with some stretching. I find the AM portion more to my liking than the PM.

At work we recieved 3 large shipments and I moved (estimate) 2+ tons of dog food and cat food/litter. Half of it was unloading a 2500 lb pallet onto carts to be taken out into the store. The other half was putting out two large carts full of litter and cat food. Squatting, going up steps, lifting overhead, etc. I would actually do exercises with much of the litter, it comes in buckets with handles and tightly packed bags. Lunges, overhead press, curls-a couple of whatver I thought of at the moment with what was in my hands. Good thing nobody else was there watching me, they would have thought I was crazy.

Evening-
2:30 minutes fast jumprope(~140 jpm)-10 pushups-20 crunches x3

I was just going to jump rope for as long as I could but I figured it wouldn't hurt to add in some pushups and crunches. I was crunched for time but wanted to get something in. Probably doing HIIT tomorrow morning so I didn't want to burn out, just some good sweat.

Thursday off
While I wanted to do my HIIT today, the past 2 weeks of no days off of work and getting up 2 hours earlier each day have caught up with me and I am too tired. A little upset because I wanted to be able to do HIIT today and weights Friday, I'll have to settle for HIIT tomorrow.

HIIT today, felt great.

Workout B today

150 skips on the jump rope as fast as possible
10 pushups on medicine ball
10 trunk rotations with medicine ball at waist level-
10 lunges each leg- medicine ball held above head
10 V-ups with medicine ball held above head
10 Groiners/Mountain Climbers(2 each side=1)

4 sets thanks to Kazama's "Breaking Barriers Day"
21:29 total
superset times were
4:09
4:32
4:14
4:45
total time 21:40

Really good workout today, no lightheadedness or nausea like last time. I'm not sure why, but I'll take it as a good thing.

I'm thinking of upping the weight on my lunges and trunk rotations from my 10lb medicine ball to my 20lb barbell. The reason is because I didn't feel as winded today as I have after most of my other times on the HIIT, 3 or 4 supersets. Maybe I should do one more with the ball and see how it goes. Or cut down on the rest between exercises or supersets.
Thoughts anybody?

Saturday and Sunday off
A little upset I didn't get to workout Sunday as it's the first time in two weeks I've been off for two days in a row. Saturday was spent relaxing with the future missus. Sunday was spent stressing big-time at work over a million things and then off to signing more paperwork on a final offer on a house. A good thing to miss the workout for (the house, not work), but I still wish I could have done it tonight.

On the plus side I guess that means I'm starting to get more into the groove of it.

Try cutting your rest time next workout. If you can run through it with much less rest and still feel like you could have done more, then the next time try it with the barbell.

Good work buddy- keep at it

Thanks, Cord, I'll do that.

Monday, August 21

Workout A
Dynamic stretches warmup
Overhead Squat 4x5, 95lbs
Deadlift 4x5, 125lbs
Overhead Press 4x5, 75lbs
4 minutes med-pace jumprope cooldown
34 minutes total

Nothing special or different on this one. Went through fine, I just need to keep an eye on my form, got a little wobbly on a few reps. Lack of concentration or trying to go too quickly.
