Two days off since my last workout, I feel a little bad. Tuesday was a long day for me (21 hours awake) with too much going on to workout. Yesterday morning was out, but the nighttime I was exhausted and a little sick (sore throat), so I went to bed at a good time and got up early to workout today. ----------------------------------------------------------- Workout A Dynamic stretches warmup Overhead Squat 4x5, 95lbs Deadlift 4x5, 120lbs Overhead Press 4x5, 70lbs 2 minutes med-slow jumprope cooldown 32 minutes total-on par with last time ----------------------------------------------------------- *Went up 5lbs on the deadlift and it went fine, yay reverse grip *Went down 5lbs on the overhead press because I am still a little sick today and at 75lbs it was affecting my form. Once I put my ego aside I figured good form with less weight will improve me faster than bad form with more weight.

Not today.  My cold (or whatever) is getting worse and I'm afriad I haven't the energy to complete my HIIT today. Going to get some Subway and Sudafed and call it a day.  Yesterday after my workout I was dead tired for the rest of the afternoon. I was sluggish at work and it didn't feel good. I'm p!ssed off because I only got in two this week, and last week was so good.

Life gets in the way sometimes so don't beat yourself up. I'd probably feel the same way but after you start back up next week and have some good days, all that will be swept under the rug. Better to listen to your body now then push through it and be worse off. Have a good weekend and relax and recover.

Well I think my recovery is pretty much complete! Did the weights today and it went just fine. ------------------------------------------------------------ Workout A Dynamic stretches warmup Overhead Squat 4x5, 95lbs Deadlift 4x5, 120lbs Overhead Press 4x5, 70lbs 2 minutes med-pace jumprope cooldown 33 minutes total ------------------------------------------------------------ Going to try and go back up to 75lbs on the overhead press next time. It seemed so easy this time, I may do 2 sets at 75 and 2 at 70...we'll see.

Did weights again on Sunday as Saturday was spent with my fiance and friends. ------------------------------------------------------------ Workout A Dynamic stretches warmup Overhead Squat 4x5, 95lbs Deadlift 4x5, 125lbs Overhead Press 4x5, 75lbs 3 minutes med-pace jumprope cooldown 36 minutes total ------------------------------------------------------------
Went up 5lbs on deadlift and overhead press and they both went fine. I had to focus more on technique and staying balanced, but it felt better and I didn't go much slower.
The bad thing was that I wanted to work on weights, HIIT, and mA training yeserday, but I had to settle for only one. Ever get a day like that?

I trained in Dean Moo Kwan, the easiest explanation would be old-school TKD using the Pyung-an (pinan/heian) forms with some other things mixed in (hapkido, judo, kali, etc). I moved away from my school a couple of years ago and have had to train on my own since then. Trying to keep my abilities slightly above the "horrific" mark. Hopefully some time in the next year I will find a school to attend.
