My Sensei and myself have organised a superb training oppertunity, all welcome -

A 6 hour introduction into the art, Chin-na is believed to be the father art of Okinawan Tui-Te, the locking/seizing aspect of our classical kata.

This seminar is aimed at martial artists with some experience who wish to see/train in authentic chi-na to help understand the information locked within the kata better.

All martial artists are welcome, it is hoped that a small group of interested people can be organised to carry on with chin-na after this introduction course on a 3 monthly basis.

Shoshinkan, I'd love to attend, but how far and where is Sevenoaks from Manchester, will it be better for me to B&B it the Night before. And will the fact that I only know 3 traditional Karate Kata aswell as my Ashihara Kata be a problem.

Shoshinkan is on holiday so I'll reply for him. Firstly, I'd definately book a B&B Sevenoaks is in Kent which is quite a way from Manchester!

Secondly it doesn't matter which kata you know, the chin na principles will fit into all the katas you know. Unfortunately the rescheduling of this course clashes with a Shiatsu seminar so I won't be able to attend. At 20 quid for 6 hours training with a MA of this calibre is an absolute bargin that I'm gutted to be missing!
