Obviously there was no internet during Shakies' time. Come to think of it, he would have been one helluva troll, if he was so minded.
Back on track on something connected to sleeping, laying in bed, here is a little thing I used to do for compensating/strengthening the weaker side of my body, in my case being left-handed the right side.
Lie flat on the back and alternately "put" your mind ("yi") on one side (using your spine as the dividing line) of your body then the other, about 5 mins. or more each side. This is one of those 'body-to-the-mind' training.
I can punch and block equally hard (with no feeling of awkwardness) with both sides as I am able to project my "yi" equally well to either side of my body.
This is best done before going to sleep and just before getting out of bed in the morning.
