Christie: tell people you are a clerk, or a janitor (don't you clean up the mess? ). I guarantee...interest in you will dissappear.

Therein lays my second problem .. I'm too honest

I didn't say 'lie'. My apologies for being unclear: tell them you do nothing special.

Generally it's: "still in school", if pressed further "Engineering, you?"

The secret of life is sincerity. If you can fake that you've got it made, whether you move things forward or not.

Obviously there was no internet during Shakies' time. Come to think of it, he would have been one helluva troll, if he was so minded.

Back on track on something connected to sleeping, laying in bed, here is a little thing I used to do for compensating/strengthening the weaker side of my body, in my case being left-handed the right side.

Lie flat on the back and alternately "put" your mind ("yi") on one side (using your spine as the dividing line) of your body then the other, about 5 mins. or more each side. This is one of those 'body-to-the-mind' training.

I can punch and block equally hard (with no feeling of awkwardness) with both sides as I am able to project my "yi" equally well to either side of my body.

This is best done before going to sleep and just before getting out of bed in the morning.

Speaking of using 'down time' for self-improvement, there is a practice called 'dream yoga' (different from lucid dreaming). The idea is...why waste your time sleeping when it is a perfect opportunity to meditate/do internal work in the dream bardo.

I wonder...
