Hi everyone

There was a thread a while ago (sorry don't remember where it is) on the strength of the human body. For example, it said that the human throat requires 300lbs. of force to break (something along those lines).

Now, my question is, is that 300lbs of force all at once, or can three blows of 100lbs work too?

I apologize in advance, if i put this in the wrong forum.

Erm, i am not sure what forum this should be in to be honest. the thing is that these figures that you want are not really useful. People have different bone densities, and of course the body 'gives' when struck, absorbing the force, yet every time this happens its not uniform. Also, there is no way of putting specific force into a strike, nor aiming for a specific effect. in an altercation you should feel very pleased to achieve a clean hard punch to the face or gut. Trying to apply specific pressure to a specific target to break it is ridiculous when dealing with a mobile angry aggressor. Hit em hard and then run away

Because of all the variables involved in the energy absorbtion, its not possible to predict injury from impact. some people fall out of 30 foot high windows and walk away, others fall off a chair and die. The body is a a fragile or robust thing, depending on circumstance.
