'this is as close as you can get to a real fight-though I have never been in one'

Yep, there is an endorsement you can have confidence in

what can you do? part of living in the free world is that you are free to be stupid if you wish. Price of democracy

Five-year fight club veteran Dinesh Prasad, 32, a heavily tattooed Santa Clara engineer, said he once broke a rib in a match but never complained to his fellow combatants. He also recently skipped his first wedding anniversary to attend a fight rather than drive to Los Angeles, where his wife is finishing law school.

I've seen the movie Fight Club, and if they had actually paid attention to the end it would seem a bit ridiculous to start up their own version - presumably one of them would have had to have started it by beating himself up to inspire the rest of the techies.

Quote:

Despite his reserved demeanor, he daydreams about inflicting pain on an attacker. "I have fantasies about it," he said.

^^^ Now that is just plain unhealthy

Quote:

"You get to be a superhero for a night," Klimanis said. "We have to go to work every day. We're constantly told to buy things we don't need, and just for a couple hours we have the freedom to do what we want to do."

^^^ Why not use your freedom to go fishing, take a drive somewhere, find an artistic release, or even take up a sport?

This just seems to me like adults who haven't really matured, I would expect teenagers to get all pumped up by the film and perhaps try it, but these guys are old enough to know better.

On a safety note, despite their "head protection", sounds like they're getting injured more often than not - and if you've seen the videos that they have uploaded of themselves...well...kinda look like feral kids If they had just picked up an MA, they could spar as much as they wanted, and with proper protection, be able to enjoy it more consistently without weeks off because you got hit with the business end of a toilet-lid.

Everyone is saying the same thing I said when I first saw the Dog Brothers!

Grown men who beat each other, and for what ? Any and all injuries have the potential to be life threatening, cuts and bruises can lead to infections, broken bones can lead to surgery and punctured organs which is ALWAYS fun.

These guys are the equivalent to the "girls" who cut themselves ?? Not just GIRLS do that stuff either...

Honestly though, how many of you feel the Dog Brothers are any different ? Im sure some of you here are even part of it.
