Just an after thought and a disclaimer.

I did say in the last section in my opinion, so realy the description of where I think the techniques are is only my opinion. Be it right or be it wrong I think some of the techniques he used during that fight are also in the Tekki shodan kata and some in the other tekki katas.

The website I gave does have a shotokan version of tekki
although other styles do another version of the same kata with the name of Naihanchi.

I am not realy interested in which ever style a kata comes from. I often will learn other katas from other styles.

Harold Howard didn't fight Royce he got a victory because Royce was injuried defeating the giant KIMO. Harold Howard lost to the Cop stand in Ninjitsu guy. Harold Howard had a punch and size with very little appilcable JJ skills.

A fresh Royce would submitted him back then, but who knows he could have gotten hit by that punch but I doubt it.

Howard did have a convincing victory over a Kickboxer, bc of that punch.

Thanks Neko

Perhaps he may as you say had limited applicable ju jitsu skills, I dont know, but he had a good defence against a take down in the fight I di sected, in fact he had a good defence and counter's against most of the moves his opponent had, untill as you so rightly said he could get in his good punching skills.

From what i have seen he was a good fighter, and poss still is.

And I did state it states as in fight record.

Yeah he had a good right bare knuckle hook, which can be found in the tekki katas.
