you will, but at the same time, its no replacement for the intencity of proper class training imo.
the book you bought, how to defend against armed assault, is a really good book and has lots of cool stuff in it. That book is by the IKMF, but there is also another book by David Khan (who is IKMA?) which is a really good read.
the truth is irrelevant of school much of the material is the same, and you should get the hang of the techniques, but i would think that you would at least need an extra person to train with?
3 and a half hours is a long long time to go for a class, but at the same time it might be a struggle to learn strictly from books and videos.
