Thanks for that. The site is a bit odd to navigate, with nothing below the "descriptions to follow". But then I saw the weapons list on the left side. Very nice.

I really like the rake weapon and I used to think to myself when seeing one in my backyard "This would make a cool weapon", so there you go!
Matt, do you think an umbrella of a specific kind (I don't know which kind though, maybe you know?) could be used effectively as a weapon?
If I run into any more cool sites I'll let you guys know!

While not strictly about umbrellas, some arts have trained to use the cane as weapon. Check this: http://ejmas.com/jnc/jncart_barton-wright_0200.htmMost normal umbrellas are not really suitable for SD, as they are too flimsy. There are some makers of heavy-duty umbrellas for SD purposes. Google "umbrella for self defense", you should find something.
