If you are looking for an a Ninjutsu instructor I suggest you go to www.winjutsu.com Its headed by Mark Hodel a Shihan of the Bujinkan Dojo. On the site go to the yellowpages and look for a dojo near you. P.S. I'm a Sandan in the Bujinkan Dojo you can e-mail me any questions and I'll try to send you in the right direction. I currently teach at Illinois State University Under the name Bujinkan Bloomington Normal Dojo. Gambatte! Robert J. Hartung III

Ninjutsu is Japanese.

Dear Shadow Warrior, If you are as eagerand ready to learn about ninjitsu as u seem, then i suggest u try looking for a "real" qualified instructor. If you live in North America, you best chances of finding a dojo is in the United States. You can try Florida, which is a good place for martial artists looking to try out new forms.
Also, since you are so enthusiastic about training in Ninjitsu, id suggest you make sure the instructor has actually trained under someone who knows the actual art of Ninjitsu. Most of the times, what will happen is that a master in one type of MA, say for example Kung Fu, will take his experience from that art and train students as "NInjas". If you are really looking for a real instructor, i suggest you search ont he internet for Master Stephen K. Hayes. He is a student of Dr. Masaki Hatsumi, who is the world's current and only Ninjitsu grandmaster. Dr. Maaki lives in Japan and has trained Mr. Hayes himself. If you can locate any of Mr. Hayes's students who might hav opened a dojo of their own, that will be your best chance at getting to know the actual art as closely as possible.
I am learning ninjitsu myself and I must tell you, if you want to be good at it, you'll need to make some changes in your lifestyle because you need to train hard, but you should be fine. As a last reminder, id like to tell you that, as a real Ninja would do, look out for false ninjitsu teachers who claim to know about the art.
There are many good teachers out there, but the pread of good nin jitsu teachers is slow, so choose carefully. If you have any questions about anyhting related to Dr. Masaki, or Mr. Hayes, or anythiugn about ninjitsu, feel free to ask me.
Enjoy the Arts friends.
Your Ninja Bretheren in the Martial Arts.

You can't be serious. There are several teachers all over the world. There are at least 4 legitimate ninjutsu schools in Houston alone. Three are from Bujinkan and one is from Genbukan. Some of the best instructors are in the states. Stephen Hayes, Jack hoban, Dale Seago and Richard Vandonk all have schools here. There are a couple good instructors here in San Diego. Dan Weidman is a very good instructor here in San Diego and he teaches for free. Just so everyone knows, winjutsu.com, ninjutsu.com and bujinkan.com are all exponents of the same system. Most al the people i mentioned above received were ranked 5th dan or higher by Massaki Hatsumi. Ninjutsu.com and winjutsu.com are your best bet for finding a Bujinkan school in your area. If not try genbukan.org they have a few schools around the country also.
Stephen Hayes isn't the only one in the states ranked in ninjutsu. He also didn't say he doesn't teach ninjutsu because it's to dangerous. He did the same thing Hatsumi did and changed the name of what he teaches because of the misunderstanding about the term ninjutsu most americans have. Hayes is still a student of Hatsumi's. He ranks above 10th dan, so does Vandonk and Seago. The Bujinkan has 15 dan ranks in case anyone was wondering why there are so many 10th dans.

I believe Jack Hoban is Mr. Hatsumi's senior student at the moment. I know he was Dale Seago's first Bujinkan instructor. Mr. Seago still studies under Mr. Hoban and Mr. Hatsumi.
