That's true,explains alot. I hope to try and raise my kids on the positive points.

Yup. Whenever one of my kids complains that I'm (insert teenager complaint of choice here) I tell them:

'I'm just trying to make sure you go to college and get a good paying job. Then you can afford a therapist...and tell him all about your crappy mother.'
