I'll pass on question 2.

Yes to question three. I actually printed out one whole thread at one point and a coworker and myself talked about it over coffee. She doesn't have access to the internet...but I discuss things here with her.

random question 2:
Hows it hanging, swinging, dripping or drooping or whatever the heck it does?

Pretty good.

question 3:
Do you talk (in-person) about forum topics that you've read/posted to people you train with? (not including fellow forum members).

Mmmmm.....no they don't know that I'm in a MA forum. I bet most of them do browse around the MA forums, though.

2. Things are going better today Ed, thanks for asking.

3. No, I don't discuss the Forums with anybody. To be honest I don't share much of myself with most people unless they get very close, and even then somethings are left just for me. This forum is one of them.

2. Ok, if I can figure out whether this site or my computer is running slow.

3. I do occasionally show the guys at work some of the things here on the forum, mostly videos.

the site was having problems for a few hours...not sure why.

about Q3...isn't it strange how we contribute to a world-wide accessable medium, yet don't talk to people standing right next to us about what we talk about here? for me, I think I don't mention the forum much, because it has a kindof unsaid stereotype of cheapness attached to it. it's like not wanting to mention/admit that you bought a half-decent product at wal-mart. political issues aside, sure wal-mart has crap, but it also has an occational good deal with good enough quality to benefit (or entertain). Does it justify spending hours shopping there? probably not, but since when are people so rational all the time?

I don't think it is that strange. After all, how many people do you actually share your passion/MA with anyway? How many, non MA types at work are truly interested? A forum is just another aspect of that MA interest. Like reading MA books/magazines, keeping abreast of conferences, etc. The major reason I don't share the various forums, aside from a lack of interest on the part of others, is that it is part of multitasking on the boss'es dime.

I smell an engineer....

I zenkutsu-dachi all the way to work and shiko through the day so in essence I train 14 hours a day. and then I pump out all my quality posts in about 22 min...ahh okay enough bullcrap. I train about 6 hours a week and go in forum spurts of between 1 and 3 hours a day. So, a worst case scenario puts me at a ratio of 4.5

Ed,

#2 - To the left,just like 75% of all males. I've heard.

#3 - Often! I sometimes print out entire topics to discuss with my fellow classmates. Good stuff here.

(I'm not ignoring your replies, I'm just moving this along...feel free to answer any previous questions but make sure you reference which one.)

Question 4: Using unsubstantiated science that you don't have to back up at all...lets say in theory, you could move your arm literally at light speed during a reverse punch - in theory, what would happen to the target?
