For anyone interested in Sai and its usage. This is one of the best demonstrations that I've seen. The link below shows Mamaru Nakamoto demonstrating Chatan Yara nu Sai jutsu. FYI: The fist link is in realplayer format. The second one is Windows Media Player format. thats a pretty good demonstration. the ease with which he manipulates the sai makes them seem deceptively docile and not quite as deadly as they really are.
is this from a larger program or video?

There is one other demo that I've seen where the practioner was faster at flipping his daggers. I just cant remember where I saw it. Also the vid quality is nowhere near the one I posted here.
What you saw was the whole kata from start to finish. And you've observed as I did. He makes it look way easy, but you know he has done that kata plenty of times to make it look so smooth when he transitions from one movement to the next.

Thankyou for posting these links, the quality of the video is very good, which makes it all the more interesting to watch.
I have an excellent video of a sai kata done by one of our top instructors however the file is enormous and because of that I am not about to put it up for general viewing any time soon.
The speed, precision and performance of her kata is even better than this one. It is very inspiring to watch even for non MA people and is the essence of this instructor herself.

I havent really even started yet, and I can see this is going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng term thing to work out. He makes it look soo easy and fluid though. Now if I could just find a Korean version of anything close to what he does!!...lol

Not a Problem. I just found it to be and inspiring demo. I've seen like 5-6 others that dont even come close to the skill displayed by Nakamoto. As a matter of fact I got to look at a guy twho actually performed the same kata and he looks like a fish out of water by comparison when he performed it.

I wouldn't mind seeing that some day if you'd care to share it!! Especially since its a female doing the demo. Women just seem to be more fluid in the motions they use when doing weaps katas imo.
