Well i didn't really know where else to post this.

So anyway, my arms have always been very veiny. Also, since i've been started to workout more, the 'natural' veinyness is much bigger than it was before. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?
I always was under the impression that due to me being skinny and having a slightly higher-than-average iron blood concentration my arms were naturally veiny..

Vascularity (veins) is a great thing, I know people who take suppliments JuST to gain vascularity. So You should consider yourself lucky! Just don't let someone cut one of them bad boys.

wow, that's interesting. So what affects whether or not your veins show more than the next person? I didn't know about that iron/blood thing.

My brother, the doctor told me that the increased appearance of veins comes in people who train more as there is an increased need for blood to get to respiring cells to provide oxygen. This regular increased bloodflows causes the arteries and veins to stretch out, particularly the arteries that have naturally more flexible walls. Body fat also plays a role in the amount the vessels camn be seen.

I also remember from biology class that one of the thermoregulatory systems of the body is to bring blood vessels to the surface in hot external conditions (for example during training) and further into the body (in order to keep your blood at the right temperature) when external conditions are cold.

Vessel appearance between different people is also down to genetics so there is no way to tell 'how much' someone is training by looking at the veins. I know lots of people want the vein through the bicep but do not have the genes for it.

I have never heard anything about iron content causing increased vein appearance.... sounds silly to think that metal atoms in blood cell's haemoglobin would cause changes in the size of veins.

As far as girls go...Many girls loved my veiny amrs the others hated it...The one that hated it the most was the best looking girl I have ever gone out with, go figure. Women are so unpredictable.

Low body fat and amount of blooding flowing through your arms is really the only causes of veiny arms outside of genetics.

I like the veiny arms. My boyfriend has them too. They are sexy.

I wouldn't say my arms are particularly veiny. I do have a pretty nasty varicose vein on the back of my left calf. Don't know how it started, just sort of got that way. Anyone ever have one of those stripped or lasered off? Been thinking about getting it done. The vein doesn't hurt, and it doesn't look as bad as Clint Eastwood at the beach, but just the same I wouldn't mind being rid of it. Thoughts?

Veins and how they appear depends on the person and their genetics. Some people with have more veiny arms then others and some with working out may see an increase more then others. I don't have veiny arms and even when I was doing a body building routine with great success back before 2002, I still did not see any significant increased veins or puffiness.

Don't get me wrong, I can see the veins on the inside of my arms just fine and giving blood is never a problem as they stick out. Personally I don't see that is attractive, if that is what you are talking about. For body building the veins they want to stick out are as such:
