cxt and oldman are great! The BJJ guy was really good and we enjoyed the demo immensely!!! Dereck,we seem to be having technical problems, either that or we are messing with you. -Brian

Hey, kansas isn't too far away from where i am. Yes it is bitterly cold and some of us (myself) are in an uproar as to how it could be 65F last week and now it's 12F, i just can't get over the outside sessions. That's craziness. I had my class today and i thought i was going to freeze before making it to the car just 9 spaces away. Anyway, Kansas isn't too terribly bad, but the good clubs are in missouri...hehehe

TECHNICAL QUESTION: Just wondering, is it not possible to log into Oldman's computer and use your own name and password? I see Brian logging in as Oldman so I was just curious. Or does it have something to do with the IP address? Sorry for getting this off track.
i can remember butterfly doing the same thing.
maybe oldman is livin up to his name and can't remember his password and so can't turn off the 'save password' button?
"save pasword button? when i was a lad we had our passwords tattooed in to our arms.
tatooed? lucky sods. we had ours cut into us with a rusty knife then kicked in the stomach for complainging about windows 95"

Next update.
It is 9:16. Cxt is gone. Brian is, well...in bed. The day went well and has been fun. At 9:30am Brian joined me as Duncans for an adult class. We did basics Brian demoed 3 Goju kata. He doe American Goju. His approach was to my mind very flowing and smooth. Then Master Duncan ran his students through our forms. Brian was able to watch and press the flesh with the people arriving for my 10:30 class.Cxt joined in with us before the first class ended.Brian shared some bunkai with us and discussed with Mr. Duncans approach to generating power in strikes.
We convened the 2nd class and began with 20 minutes of basics. Both B and cxt demoed forms. cxt does Okinawan Goju so you could see slight variations in their approaches. Cxt was very crisp and deliberate. It is hard to find the words to discribe things adequately. I had two of our 10 year olds perform Pinan yondan and Pinan Sandan. They did a fine job. Matt a brown belt showed chulgi chodan (naihanchi, tekki) and I finished off with Bassai. We then worked on some SD against lapel grabs for the newer students. We ended class with a giant 5 minute crab war. It was manditory for anyome under 18, optional for adults but everyone joined in. After class B,Cxt,Mr.Duncan and myself went out for BBQ before heading to my house for our our BBJ session with Michael Graeber. BBQ maybe not a good idea before 2 hours of knee on belly.
We were also joined by my neighbor and training buddy M.Blake. He is a student of Ryu te.In BBJ we began with the Guillotine. How to get it and how to defend against it. We worked alot of reps. Michael provided excellent and detailed instruction filled with nice subtlties. We we did standing and seated versions of each and also work on a guard pass that I wanted to take a look at. We finished with rolling. I want the guys to feel what it was like to go with someone very technical. We went 3 minute round and swithed up partners after each round. Good fun. The only blood spilled was mine. A small split on my lip.
I'll give more info later.
