There is not a certain number of posts. Dereck earned his moderator position the same way that everyone else has - through a history of quality posts, member and staff recommendations and the opening being available.

Thanks TeK. Thanks Brad. I was hoping that this would simply go unnoticed. I'm very happy that others thought I would be an asset to the Moderation Team and look forward to helping out where I can. I was certainly excited to be asked and will be humble in taking on this position. Thanks again.
