"As long as you are clinging to the idea of self and are trying to improve your practice or find something out, trying to create an improved, better self, then your practice has gone astray. You have no time to reach the goal".

Great quotes, Oldman. Why don't you start a Suzuki quote thread?

Along with providing complete peace of mind, the Suzuki Extended Protection plan is economical, dependable and hassle-free. Should you have a problem while covered by the plan, you can go to any authorized Suzuki dealer in the U.S. and Canada for prompt and professional service. But this is only the beginning of its value.

Getting an excellent teacher is critical to successful Suzuki Method study. In addition, parents play a key role in the entire process. It is important that you get background and preparation you need. While Suzuki Method study is demanding for parents, requiring that you develop new skills and work closely with your child, it is very much worth the time and care. The benefits that children can get from the best training are truly extraordinary.

Suzuki may imVho be a wee bit misplaced on this forum (exept your jokes of course, humor belongs in any forum worthy of my attention [said he humbly])
His work doesn't seem to pay any mind (!) whatsoever to body.

I feel that in any general phenomenologic approach to philosophy, but on a MArelated forum in particular, the body should play a central part. (Not as an instrument for Ego, but as one for deeper and more direct understanding of the true nature of self)

Thus, I'm definately of the opinion that Oldman needs to be banned immediately and forever, for bringing his ideas here

No, I'm just joking, I enjoy the quotes and of course I quite enjoy Oldman too!

Still, I do believe in the importance of the body in the (inward) journey that the exploring of ones mind is...

"Detachment is not apathy or indifference. It is the prerequisite for effective involvement. Often what we think is best for others is distorted by our attachment to our opinions; we want others to be happy in the way we think they should be happy. It is only when we want nothing for ourselves, that we are able to see clearly into others needs and understand how to serve them."

-Mahatma Gandhi
