I know there is no way that I could ever attend an East Coast venture like this but it would be grand to meet you all. I have been watching this post and reading everything as I am excited for all of you. Dang ... couldn't some of you have flown to Spokane, WA this weekend for the Rigan Machado BJJ seminar?

JohnL, that is only 563 Kilometers and would be just slightly over 5 hours at 110 km/ph (68 mph). I'd have no problem with that as I've driven 3x that just for a weekend. Osoyoos, BC and Winnipeg, MB are 13 hours each, one west and one east, not to mention my trips to Regina, SK that are around 8 hours.

I ran an Yahoo Map Request to Sewell, NJ and it would be about 4010 Kilometers (2492 miles) for myself and the time travels shows around 40 hours. Now that's far ... just trying to put that in respect. Sorry, no disrespect meant.

That makes an 18 hour drive for me sound almost reasonable.

It's a shame everyone that has an interest can't make it for one reason or the other. What we will do for you folks is put together some kind of fun photo or video album that can be seen over the net.

personal experience from attending a few of these events (this forum and others) has shown me that about 25% of those that say will be there will not show for various reasons. Life usually takes over unfortunately.

Your right Raul, I bet about 20-25 people show up all said and done. JohnL said he might bring three friends (?) and a few other guys mentioned friends too.....that's fine.

I think I have ToddR and Glockmeister interested... That would make...4-5 of us at this point.

I only need a short time allotment for my handgun disarms (RP has seen one of these)...I also have some disarms from the back and side that control the weapon better and prevent redirection. I ordered another practice gun in case folks wanted to play around with the techniques. I figured most eveyone already had knife disarms of one sort or another. I'm flexable...whatever you folks want to do...just don't break the old man...

Ranger, love self defense so I will be picking your brain about knife as well as the pistol disarm. I will bring my rubber guns and training knives too. With all our techniques there will be plenty to go over....can't wait.

Lately I'm getting pretty good with my digital camera. Take some pictures, throw the card in my pc, down load it to my a file or CD and send pictures/photo albums to any email recipient or website. I'm sure with all the cameras that will be there we will have plenty of pictures to create something fun.

Yep, I am bringing my video camer and digital camera for stills.
