I am thinking about arranging an event in SW Florida. Among some of the participants will be myself, Paul Fraccia, possibly Dr. Elmar Schmeisser, Vince Morris, Al Martin and Tony Annesi. Would anyone have any interest in attending? I can get hotel rooms at the Diamondhead resort in Ft. Myers for around 130 a night. Dates would be August 11-13th. It would not be expensive to attend, this is a promise. I am considering teaching the first Channan Kata due in part to the interest in this line of Kata. I think I can make it well worth attendance.

I'm interested (the kids will be away for the summer so I'm free), but I only have ~1 year of Shorin under my belt (I'm new to Pinan kata)....do you think it still would be suited?

Yes, we will have something for everyone. There is a lot that we will be doing that most will not see in your average Dojo. I know Paul fraccia is an old student of Mabuni, so he has a lot to offer as well. I am thinking that the whole weekend, including hotel will cost $500, do you think that is to much. I will be paying some of the teachers for thier trouble. I think most are coming for the get together.

From what I've read of you Paul, it is worth it. No. It's not too much...I've spent much more for much less.

Vince Morris is will be there. He heads Kassakikai and is a very good Karateka. He teaches many elite groups. If I were going to do combat I would search him out. Tony Annesi will also be present at this convention. The $500 is a total price to participate in everything. Not bad for 2 days of training with some of the top masters in the United States.
