I don't think its time. Does not really take that long to either read or post.
It might be a question of interaction--if I can get my questions answered without taking part in a discussian then people often do exactly that.
I have noticed that over the years some people have shown a marked tendency to treat flesh and blood people as if they were simply a sort of very specific wikipedia page. They pop in, ask questions then are never seen/heard from again.
There may have been a generational change---when this site started being able to "talk" to people from multiple systems was kinda new.Over the years though most styles and schools developed their own websites and discussion boards.
It could be that only a small percentage of people take their training seriously enough to go and seek out other opinions and POV's. In the past people have reacted very badly to having their assumptions questioned.
At one point it was kinda of "known" that site was a bad place to ignorant on. Not as harsh as bullshido or a couple of others. So I'd guess that at least "some" people don't ever come and don't want to either.
It maybe that people know more now than they did--and the folks on this site have ALOT to do with that. I would not put myself in that catagory but there are many people former and current posters that did, IMO, a TREMENDOUS job in helping people learn, were willing to passs along what they know/knew and were willing to contribute.
If I had access to site like this when I was younger I would have made far better training choices.....and would be far less combative and bitter
Could be that the average age of the student has been dropping steadly for over a decade. The foucs for all to many schools---for business reasons--has been on an increasingly younger demograhapic and they are less likley to on the boards.
Could be any of the above or a combo of the above or stuff that never occured to me.
