Stupid question: what's the best way to increase the density and hardness of muscles? Would high weight, low reps training be best? Are there any other ways to do it?

lifting will make your muscles stronger... cardio will take away the fat.. and then they feel hard..

once you done lefting you would want to eat protein but not to much protein. sometimes when im done i just drank a cup of soy milk.

I'd really stay away from soy milk if I was you! Firstly its not milk, its a bean. Guess it wouldnt sell very well if they called it what it is, Bean Juice.

Here is why soy is bad, and should be removed from your diet.

1. It contains large amounts of Phytic acid. These block the assimilation of minerals in the body. The phytic acid is not neutralised during the processing of soy foods.

2. Soy leads to deficiencies in calcium and Vit D due to it's mineral blocking inhibitors

3. Soy interfers with normal protein digestion in the body due to its trypsin inhibitors

4. The soy phytosetrogens distrupt your bodies endocrine function and cause infertility. Its like taking a female birth control pill!!!

5.Soy contains high levels of aluminium

Check out t nation for some more reasons why soy should be banned.

best way to make your muscles harder is endurance training, low weight high rep, tones them up instead og bulking them up, u wanna build them up big first then tone them, best way to get big solid muscles if u ask me.

Rubbish. Do what bodybuilders do: lift relatively big. Endurance does just that - endurance. It doesn't make you noticably bigger, and certainly isn't an efficient way to build up tone. There are so many refutations fo high weight low reps on this site I don't even know where to start.

muscels build up to what u want them to do... if u want to build up fast muscles then do fast exercises... if u want slow but powerful then do weight training... etc. as far as hardening goes... ur body is great at adapting. y do u want them hard? so u can take hits?? if u want to take hit s then take hits and the'll grow stronger and harder and bruise less... making ur body adpat to what u want it to do is by far the eisiest and cheapest way...

Lifting weights doesnt make you slower.
Also, getting hit wont make your muscles any harder. Getting hit isnt the easiest way to get strong, lifting weights will.

Wrong, wrong wrong.

Lifting a light weight 1000s of times does didly squat for making your muscles any bigger or stronger. All that will happen is that you will be able to curl that little weight. Not useful for martial arts or life.

Toning is a load of crap. Lifting heavy weights to build muscle, and then lowering your body fat % to alow enough levl will make you cut.

The reason your muscles feel harder after doing endurance exercises, is because blood is pumping through them to give them energy. When the blood leaves, the muscle feels normal again.

I do a 100 pushups before going out on a date to have the pumped up look . My definition of false advertising . It wears off pretty quickly.
