Does anyone have any recommendations for books covering bunkai in depth? I am primarily looking for shotokan kata bunkai, but I am interested in other styles as well. I know of Iain Abernethys Bunkai-Jutsu (anyone got it?) so any suggestions other than this please.

Thanks, I have actually just been rooting around in my book cupboard and found some Aiden Trimble and Vince Morris ones I forgot I had. I have heard the name of Elmar Schmeisser before so I might have a look at some of his stuff. Thanks again.

I have a book written by Rick Clark, called: Pressure Point Fighting. It explains severeal pressure point techniques in different bunkai. Quite usefull, I think.

I've got it and would thoroughly recommend it. It's probably the best MA book that I've read. Very well organised, doesn't focus too much on any one particular aspect (e.g. pressure points), answers a lot of those eternal MA questions, and is very pragmatic in its choice of techniques.
I've also got Iain's "Karate's Grappling Methods", which lists more actual techniques (via photo sequences), but "Bunkai Jutsu" is far more in-depth with a lot more text and a lot more discussion of concepts and how to go about extracting bunkai.
