Interesting conversation that can arise from the word penguin.

The word penguin was a nickname we (mself and a friend) had for someone back in highschool when we used to take public transportation to school. Her winter jacket was this bright orange jacket that would stand her out of a crowd anywhere.

When getting off the bus we would go around to the back of it and cross the street but you couldn't tell if there was traffic coming towards you from the right because the bus blocked the view. We used to call her "pylon" until I brought up once that penguin's send "testers" into the water one at a time to test for polar bears. If the one that went in didn't get eaten it was safe. From then on we called her penguin in that with her bright orange jacket we should send her out into the street and if she didn't get hit by a car it was safe for us to cross. That was her nickname until I blew it one day when my friend came onto the bus and said "is penguin here," I said "ya, she's right there" and pointed at her thus blowing the penguin cover. After that her new nickname was Zimbabwe - no story behind that one, it was just random.

Why, that would be an unbearable situation!


Oh...Someone else used a bear pun before me. Crap.

How about: "I would do that if only I didn't get cold feet!"

No, no, that one sucked...

A penguin was driving into a small town in Canada when his car stalled out.

He pushed it into the nearest service station.

The mechanic said he would take a look, but it would take a while.

The penguin decided to walk around town while the mechanic fixed his car. Soon he came to a cafe and went inside and ordered himself an icecream cone.

Having finished his icecream he went back to the service station, where the mechanic was under the hood.

"how's it look" asked the penguin. The mechanic peeks his head out and says "Looks like you blew a seal"

The penguin looks embarrassed and yells "I swear it's only icecream"
