I've invented a new style of dancing that has never been conceived before. It combines the Latin Bachata and break dancing's 'crumping'....except the hip motion is Okinawan.

I call it: 'Bechumpan'.

Now that would be interesting to see...

... Bachata? Crumping?

.... Can't we all just do the Funky Aligator and the Cabbage Patch?

Since this thread is all about staying off topic, I'd like to say that mezmerise is great but hypnotize is (way beyond any reasonable expectation) even greater!!

An old man like me, most music I listen to is made in the seventies or eighties (not to mention the sixties), only rarely do I "find" anything new, beside soad the only exception that comes to mind is foo fighters...

If you like Mesmerize/Hypnotize. Check out the older stuff from Chevelle, A lot of the Perfect Circle has some good commentary inside of it. One of my favorite aspects about SoAD is the fact that they make very deep thought provoking questions in the songs, although sometimes they are rather obscure. Its still good to see artists not simply making music to make money, but actually still saying something.

I am a huge Audiophile, If anyone wants to know my current playlist check out http://www.last.fm/user/unsungrequiem/

Thats where you can find all the music I listen to while connected to the internets.

Oh, no doubt. Hypnotize = masterpiece. I personally love the drumming in it - not too hard and still stands out but gives the other members a chance to have their shine time.

What I like about SOaD is that no one can hate all of their songs. They change too much and they tell you that they're a living breathing thing. They cover so many genres: Heavy Metal, Rock, Even some electronic stuff, they did a rap song once, disco (in the new CD)...The list goes on. They're really talented and you can just tell that they will play music for the rest of their lives. It's fun to listen to them because you tell that they can just fool around and play the most whackiest, nonsensical songs ever, and you can never listen to that song too much. They make some of the catchiest songs I have ever heard.

To me, I listen to the lyrics last. The lyrics can say whatever they want I will still love their songs. But the way he sings it is entertaining. I can go on and on about them..

See, this is why we need an off-topic forum! Or at least a music forum.

Man, I would jump in, but I promised myself that I would kick my own ass if I ever did a "what I listen to" post in a MA forum. Although music is like meditation to me.....

THAT'S IT!!!!

WAIT!!!!!!

That would be on topic for a meditation forum. Damn you, Ed!

Please try to stay on the topic of off-topicness, please.

Is it possible to go off-topic on an off-topic thread? I guess that would be to stay on topic. But then every other post would be another topic! But changing the topic every other post would be staying on the topic of being off-topic..!

Ahhhh the conundrum!
