I want to hear the story about DB and the Italian Ambassador in the mosh pit!!!
Then I'll tell you about my date with Ms. Phillipines-1984. You won't be thrilled though, cause the date was in 1999!
Page
Allright, Allright. True Story.
The embassador of Italy, Mr. Steiner, sent a few people an invitation to Italy for free (it was a gift after the 9/11 tragedy). So my family was invited along with another family that we knew our whole lives. So we spent one week in Italy, one week in Austria. Mr. Steiner was the head of activities there and was very kind. Me and my older brother faced him and his friend to foosball. My god, do they love foosball! Steiner was pulling all sorts of fancy shots and my head was spinning.
After losing miserably, we all went out for a drink in the hotel bar. This was in Italy at the time. No drinking age-so my younger brother (8) tried to sneak some drinks in which I didn't very much approve of. After our "gang" (4 friends and my brother, I was the youngest) drank a little too much, we went into the hotel dance floor. It was a small room with a DJ room overlooking the floor, which was controlled by - hmmm..me. But the floor was empty besides us. So after I put on some classic "System Of A Down" and my brother put on some of his music, the room started filling with more and more people. My brother, his friends, and I jumped on stage and made complete idiots out of ourselves purposely (I think?). The lights were low and the stagelights were rotating around the whole room. All of a sudden, I see one of my brother's friends jump off the stage over the small crowd of people. Other friends followed including my brother. Then finally I dove over the crowd and landed on a person. But it was OK, he was mostly fine. We were so caught up in "moshing" with the Italians (creating a very positive image on the Americans, bashing each other into chairs and punching each other), that we haven't noticed that Steiner has entered the room. The first thing he does is jump on stage, takes off his shirt, and jumps over the crowd yelling, "Steiner!" He joins us in the moshing and I even think he pushed me into a chair which I tripped over. The night died down with us all out of breath and Steiner hitting on my mom. Man, what a great time.
And man, that Steiner can mosh.

I... I want to Mosh with a Foriegn Ambassador! System of a Down is a good set to Mosh too also! That would've been around the time Toxicity came out wouldn't it? My only claim to fame is I sold Radar from M.A.S.H. some whiskey, and he proceeded to berate me about asking him for ID.

Think of it like violently jumping up and down at the front of a concert... Elbows and limbs akimbo beating the crud out of each other to music. Throwing yourself basically back and forth against your fellow Moshers until well, the music stops.

In the 80's we called it slam-dancing. Dereck will back me up on this. As I recall he's a freak for the 80's. If he had hair, I bet it would be combed just like Rick Springfields! *** leaving quietly to listen to my Spandau Ballet cassettes *** Page

I've invented a new style of dancing that has never been conceived before. It combines the Latin Bachata and break dancing's 'crumping'....except the hip motion is Okinawan.
I call it: 'Bechumpan'.
