I'm sure that, at the very least, your fiance was grateful.
And those guys will think twice before trying that sort of thing again.

You did the right thing, and you didn't lose your temper. If you had lost your temper, they'd all probably be dead or crippled right now.

You're on good legal ground, it seems. You were protecting your fiance. If you hadn't done what you did, she might've found herself in a very bad situation. And then you would've had to deal with the, "Why didn't you help me? We should really reconsider marriage..."

And that sort of thing.
