I love the Daily zen thread, and find much on here fascinating to read and think on. however many of my thoughts that come from the ideas posted i find difficult to verbalise/put in writing.
i tend to comment by equating/translating posts/quotes of a zen/eastern nature, to western philosophy as i have a rudimentary grasp of some of those concepts, and none of formal zen! i am conscious that this means that any comment I make could easily inadvertantly cloud or derail the thread, so try to post judiciously, or not at all (apart from the flippant funny ones- it does get a little serious here sometimes )

........okay I lurk!...there I said it!!! ....all I can add is that sometimes the posts on here are very inspiaring and motavational!...when I feel ready to share my meandering thoughts..i will until then keep it up!

When you walk (click) in to the zen forum, the atmosphere changes. In the same way that if you were to walk into a zen garden, the voice would drop, te ego would go out the window and all would be relaxed. Why would it happen? I guess its the 'vibes' that you get off from a place like that, and an electronic version does not have to be any different. I seek refuge in the zen forum and I am sure a lot of people just feel very comfortable lurking here.

A bit of a respite from other topics where some 14 year old in the throws of junior high angst gets into a school yard brawl....and depending upon the posts or thoughts expressed, something that entices me or that I felt that I should add to.

Otherwise, my stupidity will get in the way of my posts and I feel that, like a proper child of the 19th Century, one should be seen....but not heard from. Especially if all I do is talk with my mouth open while shoveling food in it.

That reminds me of my childhood, I was such a pretty child, that when our neighbours were having guests, they always wanted to borrow me

I like to lurk in the Daily Zen thread. I learn quite a bit there and comment very little. Quite humbling to see others' understanding of things and how far I really have to go/how much I really have to learn.

Is there a destination? Do I want there to be one?(thoughts for another thread)
