So I've just spent a week in the hospital having a sub-clavian deep vein thrombosis (blood clot under the shoulder blade) removed with medicine and a catheter. My doctors are unsure about how I could have injured such a deep vein (it was a one-time trauma to the vein in my non-dominant arm). I practice judo and wonder if anyone has had any similar experiences or has heard of this kind of thing being caused by a particular throw or move. I'd love to get to the bottom of this issue so that I can return with confidence or sign up for tai chi. thanks
