My genuine condolences... mine strangely (such as it is) now possesses a hula hoop within it? I suppose I could pretend she was practicing the Hawaiian art of Lua Or I could study the undulatory quality karate should possess???

Re: plywood floor supported by tires...Shotokan in Garden Grove, California has this. It IS a little wierd w/ the springy feeling & the floor isn't level - it dips. It's shiney because of all the lacquer & that causes the floor to inhibit sliding = lots of blisters.

I trained there for a month & didn't like it. I think you can see it on their website.

I 'm having a concrete slab poured for one in less than a week , for myself and family to train. Nothing fancy 24 ft x 24ft . 8 ft walls with a vaulted ceiling so we have plenty of room, plans are to have one wall with mirrors, one 100 lb bag, and plan on epoxy painting the floor gray. Plan on a few traditional decorations and plenty of room for our rank certifications and trophy's....

That sounds really great. I thought about doing the same but ended up in my basement instead. My space works out fine but I had alot of neat ideas for one similar to what you are talking about. Good luck Take pictures.

Me and my guys train outside. Sort of my apartment building has a carport behind it. It doesn't have walls. beyond that there is grass and a 6ft wooden fence. I been through the fence once and put my buddy through it once. We are even.

Must remove Hola Hoops immediatley! LOL I know the feeling, but lately she uses the dojo more than I do, and she was against me building it......huh!
