My understanding is that Tomari Te wasn't like Shuri Te, if the differences were apparent at all. This seems to be Shorin Ryu imperialism!

Tomari-te has influed both Shuri and Naha. A "modern" style that contains parts of Tomari's is Shotokan: Wankan - crow of the King Hangetsu/Rohai - "half-moon" Unsu - clows' hands _________________________ KARATE DO GA MUZUKASHII MICHI ARUKI NI DESSU, SHIKASHI YOI MONO WO YARI MASSU.
