I nearly kicked myself in the face with a front kick once (it got THISCLOSE) while I was warming up. Also, just recently, I hit my face on my instructor's arm, and a nosebleed ensued, and blood went everywhere (mats, my gi, etc. Thankfully none on my instructor!). I had to run off the mat with my nose in the air, and stay in the bathroom for like 10 minutes trying to make it stop! Pretty embarrassing stuff. Oh well .

Another embarassing problem I have encountered is passing gas in class. Sometimes when we were doing jumping jacks it would sound like a warm up session for the brass ensemble.

Please excuse me I was getting tired when I wrote the last entry. I tend to get a little silly when I'm tired. Sorry.

haha, its ok. I used to have a similar problem. 8 months ago I weighed 250 lbs. I couldn't remember my thyroid medication so I couldn't lose weight. I stayed at that weight for years because my activity level, what I ate and my non-existant metabolism cancelled each other out causing no gain or loss in weight. Before, whenever I would do cruncehs I would pas gas. It was like, exert a little bit of energy and out the other end it went. Now, 8 months later at 175 lbs I don't have that problem. My dad has a similar problem but he's just plain old and has problems with heartburn.

Many moon ago (before MA) I kneed myself in the forehead somehow, ending up on the ground.

I tried to pass it off as a joke, but I was a little dizzy for that...

I remember seeing a fight in Elementary. A kid had someone in a headlock, and tried to throw a right hook at him. He ended up punching himself in the face in front of all the onlookers.

Speaking of which, I tried to apply a triangle choke on someone yesterday. My legs weren't locked properly and he man-handled his way out, and I let one rip almost to his face. Oops.

Christie -

Congrats on the weight loss! Very impressive!

I had a really bad bone break, where a guy I was sparring kicked me in the coccycx(sp?) and broke it. SUPER PAINFUL, and imagine all the fun I had sitting down and going to the bathroom - for the next 3 weeks!

Thanks! It was something that I never thought I could do. After being 250lbs for almost 2 years with no fluctuation in weight, I was really active, I at healthy, I just couldn't remember a small little pill once a day. Didn't realize how big of an impact your thyroid has what it doesn't work on all aspects of how your body works until I went back on it and that that I was an idiot for not remembering it sooner.

Well its a little too late for that one. Four years ago I did something to my tailbone, I don't know what I did though. Just one day while on the Senior Leadership Course with air cadets I was leaning against a wall and my tailbone started to hurt, and it hurt even more when I stood up. Then there were a few instances where my back would go out, like I wouldn't be able to stand up. I had x-rays done and apparently its nothing. Now I have problems with my tailbone if I set certain ways, sit down for too long, stand up from sitting down, move the wrong way, when I get off my bike it feels like I've been hit repetedly in the tailbone with a sledge hammer. But I've never broken it so I can't imagine what it feels like when you do break it.

I broke my tailbone when I went snowboarding. Lets just say that you should not try jumps before the sun is out and the snow is ice!

Anyway...
Picture a french dude with a cigarrette and long red nose, sipping thoughtfully on a cognac and then saying in the most normal french accented tone "Ah.. yes. Well...yiu see it is a common problem er in zee alps, we have to put finger up your anus and pull!"
